Last weekend I visited Totnes. It is an extraordinary town, and I have to say everything is a BIT more expensive than it is up north. Anyway, the town is small, lies on the banks of the river Dart. Has a main street that looks like this.
It is said to have its own money, although I have not seen it. It has got many fish and chips shops and tearooms. The owner of the one we went to has been to Budapest on his friend's stag nights, drank a lot of pálinka and ate lángos.
